Wexford, PA. January 2024 – The Pavement Group proudly announces its recent inclusion in the 2023 Best Contractors to Work for in Construction. This annual accolade, curated by Asphalt Contractor, Equipment Today, Concrete Contractor, Pavement Maintenance & Reconstruction, and Best Companies Group, signifies The Pavement Group’s commitment to fostering an exceptional workplace environment.
The national survey and awards program, recognizing 21 outstanding winners nationwide for the 2023 Best Contractors to Work for in Construction, aims to celebrate and honor construction companies prioritizing their workforce’s well-being and happiness.
In order to be considered for participation, each company had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
• Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity;
• Be a publicly or privately held business;
• Have a facility in the United States;
• Have at least 15 employees working in the United States
• Be in business for a minimum of 1 year
• Be one of the following types of businesses whose primary business activity is:
o General Building Construction
o Earthmoving
o Paving
o Concrete
o Specialty and trades (Underground, Utility, Electrical, HVAC, Demolition, etc.)
Many companies across the United States participated in the two-part survey to be included in the Best Contractors to Work for In Construction.
The first part of the survey, which accounted for 25% of the total assessment, evaluated each organization’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part of the survey, which accounted for 75% of the total assessment, measured employee experience. The combined scores determined the top-ranking companies.
